The joys of Spring......

Finally.....spring is springing!

What a beautiful sight.

But wait........what is this????

I dislike mud season with a passion.  I just want everything to thaw out and dry out.
For some reason....that never happens.

I clean my little pond in the garden out every spring.   I let the water
overflow to clean all of the sludge that builds up over the winter.  Also to get it ready in
time for the spring peepers.  Not only do I love the sound that the spring peepers make; I just like saying
the word peeper.  Besides that they are cute.  Anyway.........

Zippy helped.

I figure it is easier and takes less time to just let him go ahead and have a little fun.
Trying to stop a Bull Terrier from digging is.......well......impossible.

For some reason Bull Terriers LOVE to dig.

Zippy is obsessed.  Another BT trait.

Yes, it is good to have a sense of humor when your dog does this.

This is a picture from last year on pond cleaning day.  Bumble helped.  She likes the peepers too.

I resent that picture......I was good this year and did not get dirty.

(But what is that on your head?)

Here we have Comet.  She was a fantastic digger.  Also a fantastic dog.  We miss you Comet.

The horses also enjoy a mud bath. Of course this is about 10 minutes after I groomed them.

Oracle.....what were you thinking????  All of that beautification gone to waste.

Hey Otis.....I am glad we are much too civilized to get that dirty.

Speak for yourself May.  He he he.

The end....

Spring and Love

I can feel it....Spring is coming.  I know many of you already have warm sunny weather.....We do not.  I woke up this morning to a light dusting of snow.  I do see signs of spring however.  My garlic is starting to grow and daffodils are starting to push through the ground.

Pretty soon the bees will be flying around.

I will also be able to start one of my new found activities.  Morel mushroom hunting.

Spring is also a time for love.

Gus and Scatter have an interesting relationship.

They really enjoy being together.

They like to groom themselves.

They also play.

By the is hard to get a cat to sit still for photos.  This is why there is a double image in some of these pictures.

Gus is always very patient.

Love, and spring.......

I like this shot.  Looks like we caught them doing something....naughty.

Two more lovers......

Sometimes Bumble can be demanding.  Only when Zippy is loving his ball and not her.

Bumble even shares her chair with Zippy on occasion.

This is sometimes also a love-hate relationship.  We will not go into that.

Even the horses are in love.  They know that soon it will warm up and they will get to go on great adventures.

Otis and May sharing a tender moment.
(More than likely they were really chewing on the fence)

Otis and Ollie sharing a not so tender moment.  Just remember....don't be a JackA.....Share some love.

Hey......I get no respect!
(that is why I chew the fence)

Spread the love and have a happy spring.

Another Day, Another Walk

Gus!  Do you want to go for a walk?
No thanks....I will just stay here and relax.

Okay.  I will ask Bumble and Zippy.
Bumble how about a walk?

YES!!!!  Let's go!

This is my happy hucklebutt.  That is just what Bullies do.

Oh wait a stick!!  Crunch crunch crunch.

Oh Zippy!!!  You spoil everything!

Okay guys.....lets go on.

But wait.....what is this???!!!

My what a big paw print.  This does not look good.

We may have to go somewhere else.
You know Zippy does not play well with others.  The dog this print belongs to must be a giant.
We may have to turn around.

Come on Zippy!  It is all your fault!

I do not even see another dog.

Man....that Zippy is a spoil sport.  I can't believe we have to turn around.

I am not mean....I am just misunderstood.

It is okay Zippy.  I still love you.   We will just go work on the Super Duper Top Secret Project.

Oh man.....I want to go somewhere else! I am tired of work!

GRRRRRR..........I wish we could go do something else.

Darn project. that a deer?  This is not so bad after all!

Check out all of the snow.  Look..... pavement!

Glad it quit snowing.  Those horses could just walk over the gate.

Stay in horses!

See ya later!
