It has been a while......Catching up again.

Pearl today......measurements give me a weight of 678 pounds.  I can not wait to take her to the weigh off and find out how big she really is!

Oh.......YES.........if I could just get to that pumpkin........

Forget it kid.......you would never get out alive.

I have had some time to work on the arbor.  I have the texture coat of cement on one of the posts.

This is a close up of the texture.  I "only" have 5 more posts to go.......Probably will not get it all done before cold weather.

I have really enjoyed this part of the project!

I have to be very careful that it does not dry out too quickly.  I wrap it in plastic so that it cures properly.

I now have to stain this with acid stain and seal it.

We have had some of the most beautiful skies lately!

The cloud formations have been spectacular.

It has also been very clear.

I love this type of cloud formation.  It looks like a spaceship.  I think they are lenticular clouds.

This one was fairly weak looking, but it had a great contrast in color to the other clouds.

You can see for miles and miles.

Even Bumble was getting into sky watching.

We have also had a ton of humming birds this summer!

I was lucky to get this shot a couple of weeks ago.

I love this one too.

The sunflowers have also been drinking in the sun.

There is something magical going on here.

Hey!   I will show you some magic!

I will make the cat disappear.

Here kitty kitty kitty.

Just a little closer.

Here kitty kitty kitty

come on.......just a little bit closer.

That's it......

come on over here!

What the.........

Oh...you do not want to know what happened......

It did not turn out well for Bumble.

I am tired of chasing cats........let's go for a hike!

Hey! Check out this big oak tree!

For those of you who wonder if Bulldogs can run........they can.

This is actually Bumble running next to the Gator!

This is an alien being on a large orange planet.

FYI ... because of the really late cold weather I didn't plant the seeds that you sent me. Will they be any good for next year? I'm going to try it just for the heck of it, one way or the other I should get pumpkin, but maybe mini- pumpkin.. Nice post Bumble!!!

  7. As usual....I am slow at responding and catching up! I do not know why, but I have been behind all summer. MJ-Your seeds will be fine. Keep them until next year and save some mule manure! Thank you all for the lovely comments! I am almost finished with the neat paste portion of the first two posts on my arbor. Working hard to get it done before cool weather! I really appreciate the nice words.

  8. Amazing texture on your project. I'm enjoying the spider pictures. I have seen lenticular clouds once from Guadalupe Peak in the mountains of Texas. They do look like spaceships (or pancakes if you are really hungry).
